The Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation is a registered charity (charity number 1069517) and aims to promote excellence in financial journalism.


Many of the interns that the Foundation has supported have gone on to successful careers in journalism at titles including The Economist, The Daily Deal, and The Moscow Times. Their backgrounds are very diverse and include a Dutch student with a PhD from the University of Michigan, a Chinese/British student from the University of Cambridge and a Philippine citizen who graduated from a Belgian university.


Our studentship holders have studied at several leading British educational institutions, including the London School of Economics and Oxford's Saïd Business School. They include an American graduate of Columbia University's School of Journalism, an Indian economics graduate from Delhi University and an Irish graduate of the UK's Birkbeck University. While a number have gone on to careers in journalism, others have taken jobs at central banks, consulting firms and accountancies.
